Micheal + Olga // Alexandria Ballroom Wedding

I fell in love with Olga the moment I spoke to her. A spit fire with tremendous, striking wit, creativity and BEYOND detail oriented (not to mention fiercely hot) We laughed over our love of cocktails, food (especially Queso) We even showed up, both stocked with mini fireball shots to the engagement session, like two peas in a pod. Michael is her perfect counterpart. He is effortlessly funny, kind, silly in all the right ways, he is patient and absolutely adores Olga.  

Olga & Micheal choose the legendary Alexandria Ballrooms formally known as Alexandria Hotel which officially opened in Downtown Los Angeles in 1906, as their place to get married.   Alexandria is known for its high ceilings, ornate arches, Tiffany skylight and jaw dropping ballrooms. This was the perfect location for their black tie wedding. 

As I mentioned above, Olga and Micheal love a good cocktail. There was no way their wedding was going to pass by without some badass signature cocktails and a Champagne wall……. Yes I said it, a champagne wall. This was not just any ordinary champagne wall (like there is such a thing) THIS champagne wall was covered in greenery, topped with dripping flowers, Olga & Micheal’s names etched out of gold colored plexi AND as you walked by, white gloved hands emerged from the wall to hand you a full glass of bubbly……. Yeap, you heard me right.  

If that champagne wall wasn't enough to blow up your instagram, then maybe the fog machine that covered the dance floor while they had their first dance ALONG with white sparklers that went off and took everyone by surprise (including me) 

Shooting weddings as long as I have, my jaw doesn't hit the floor in surprise as much as it used to. But I tell you what, I spend most of this night tripping over mine.
